About Us

Christmas of 2008 turned out to be a pivotal moment for myself and my son in regards to this hobby that we love.

I grew up in Lawrence, KS, surrounded by fields and prairie land that is a virtual mecca for an aspiring herpetologist.  I caught and temporarily kept kings and ratsnakes and various colubrids throughout my formative years.  My interest then grew into Pythons and I kept a Burmese Python for a number of years, until I started my family.

Forward back up to 2008, when my son (Really, No Prompting form Dad at all here, I PROMISE!!)  decided he would like to have a snake for Christmas.  Well, now the internet is here, and so I happily started looking in to what type of animal to start him out with.

Well the Ball Python won the day, and I took him down to the local pet store and we bought our first Ball Python. 

As we got to know our new pet, and researched more about him, we got hooked. 

Today, we are proud to have built a dedicated facility with a snake room and a dedicated rodent room in which we keep and care for our animals.

We have worked very hard to select and nurture most of our breeding stock from babies; working only with reputable breeders with quality stock of their own.  We are very excited as more prime females are maturing and we are beginning to raise our own hold back animals to ensure quality for generations to come.  

Mission Statement

It is our mission first and foremost to provide a quality standard of living for our animals.  We strive to provide ample space, heat, hides, and quality feed.  Each animal is personally inspected at least twice a week, and is provided any attention that it needs, be it medical or personal.   We realize that each animal has its own “personality” and likes and needs, and we do our best to provide that in every case.

Quality food is a must, at Royal Ball Pythons we provide lab quality rodents that are born and bred at our facility or, if necessary, is purchased from one approved vendor.   We breed rats, mice, gerbils and African soft furred rats to provide our animals with their preferred meal.  All animals offered for sale will be live rat or mouse feeders, unless I have indicated otherwise.

Our mission also includes you, our prospective customer and hopefully life long partner.   We will make ourselves available to help with any situation you may find with your ball python.   We do not limit our help and advice to animals we sell.   We will strive to provide help with any situation, with any ball python, whether the animal was purchased from Royal Ball Pythons or not.  Even if you have never purchased from us, we are glad to help in any way we can.

Lastly, it is our mission to provide quality ball python morphs to the industry.   We do not cheat in purchasing our breeding stock, so that we produce only the highest quality offspring.  Every snake that is sold from our stock will have a certificate of guarantee covering health, genetics and sex.   If you find that an animal is not of at least the quality or the genetics represented, we will refund money in cash for return of a live and healthy animal.   If you find that an animal is of the wrong sex as represented we will provide an animal of the same genes and quality of the correct sex, or we will refund 100% of monies paid for that animal.
